I understand that navigating recovery can feel overwhelming - there's constant noise from diet culture, confusing messages about what's "healthy," and pressure to follow the latest trends.
Each attempt at "getting better" might leave you feeling more lost than before.
My interest in eating disorders started in college, where diet culture ran rampant. I learned about the causes and consequences of disordered eating patterns and became motivated to spread awareness and education about balanced nutrition to students on campus (even passing out candy to those who left the gym!).
Working closely with the campus dietitian inspired me to take the same professional path in nutrition. In graduate school, I studied the impact of parental attachment styles on childhood feeding practices, eating habits and relationships to food. Simultaneously, I gained experience working at a treatment center for adolescents with eating disorders, where I witnessed the devastating toll an eating disorder can have on a person's body, mind and spirit.
I have committed my professional career over the last decade and among various levels of care to counseling and supporting those struggling with chronic dieting, disordered eating and clinical eating disorders.
I do this work because I believe everybody deserves peace, joy and freedom.
I believe that recovery is possible for everyone.
My mission is to empower individuals through individualized, evidence-based care to reclaim their health or heal from their disordered eating patterns.
In a world saturated with diet culture messages, I'm here to guide you toward a peaceful relationship with food and your body through compassionate, weight-inclusive care.
